I hate that I have had to start caring hard about politics. I hate that I have had to start researching every damn meme I see, every article I read, every quote because I need to sort out FACTS as best I can from a social and media system designed to confuse and terrify with salacious headlines and clickbait. I hate that I want so badly to speak with my voice but am silent because there is so much coming at me that I can’t even understand ONE thing before 75 more things hit me in the face! It has always been the job of the politician to represent their constituents, to show up at the job they were elected to do, to understand that job and make sure that the people were cared for, that the constitution of our country was upheld, to fight the battles that most of us are neither equipped to fight or care to.
